In 2021, Marion County payday loan borrowers paid more than $8.7 million in interest on their loans. In only five months since 2nd Chance Indiana premiered its new jobs website and programs, the demand and growth has been amazing. Let's just say, things are getting Big, Fast.


This is what successful reentry through a good job looks like.Goodwill providing jobs in 70 locations through 2nd Chance Indiana. Plus Duvall Residential Center--a work-release facility under the Department of Correction, is working with 2CI to plan an in-house job fair.Plus! New management at the 2nd Chance Indiana Reentry Room in the Marion County Adult Detention Center.


Effective outreach to people coming out of incarceration is a necessary step to bring them successfully into society. Coach/mentors are aligning with 2nd Chance Indiana to guide and support new reentrants. Meanwhile another experienced gentleman who served 32 years in prison is available to speak to young people and guide them away from violence.


We're Expanding! 2nd Chance Indiana is now working with folks in Monroe, Owen, and Adams County and need new inmate correspondents. Also, more reentrants are signing up for transportation at Volumod, and Indiana's Workforce Development leaders meet with 2CI to help. Meanwhile, youth violence and death continues…
